Project Description

This is a very beautiful Nanbokucho period katana from the Etchu (no) kuni Ko-Uda group. With Edo period Higo koshirae, having a finely detailed Nanban tsuba along with a typical for Higo red lacquer saya and iron Higo fuchigashira. The nagasa is 61.3cm. The hamon on the blade has great depth or hataraki and resembles a juyo Etchu Norishige that I studied on my last trip to Japan. This is a very high-quality work, with current NBTHK kanteisho.
